Easy homemade hummus

An easy and quick recipe, and without cooking. Star of the oriental cuisine, this smooth and delicate paste will please you. It is perfect to serve as an appetizer or to put in sandwiches.

  • Food processor


  • 200 g cooked chickpeas (fresh, canned or frozen)
  • 60 g tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 30 ml cold water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

For the dressing (optional)

  • drizzle olive oil
  • a few pine nuts


  • Place the chickpeas in the bowl of a food processor with the minced garlic clove. Blend until you have a puree.
  • Add the tahini and lemon juice. Blend.
  • Add water in batches, mixing between each one. Adjust the amount of water to the desired consistency.
  • Serve the hummus with a drizzle of olive oil and some pine nuts. You could also serve it with caramelized onions for example.
